Zoo Baby Demands De Luxe Service

Fa zoo to take up temporary quarters with two antelopes When the zoos
newest tenant proves to her keepers that she Is accustomed to and
friendly with humans she will be transferred to the baby zoo The little
elephant threefeet nineInches tall was caught In Rangoon Burma and
Is the gift of Trank B Foster a zoo director Keeper Pat Cronln Is

N Mex Wednesday evening His
Bon Preston left for New Mexico
early yesterday morning
Canadian schools will open Mon-
day morning September 4
Mrs C G Sprague and two little
daughters returned Friday after
visiting friends and relatives in
Missouri and Kansas
Mr and Mrs Arlis Blue and Mr
and Mrs Bill Cayler of Perryton
left Thursday morning for the fair
Frank Burgett was found dead at
his home across the tracks Friday
morning about 10 oclock The body
was discovered in the yard by ft

Authorities believe Mr Burgett
died sometitre Thursday afternoon
Mr Burgett was a deputy sheriff
under Tobe Oden at Woodward
Okla around 1896 Since that time
he has resided in the Panhandle
With no living relatUes to mourn
his passing he was buried in the
Canadian cemetery Saturday even-
ing at G30 age 81 years 2 months
and 26 days
