The case ot G. W. Allen charged
with murder, is set for April 9th.
The case of I. J. Searey, the con-
vict who stolo Mr. Dabney's horse,
is set for trial April 8, the grand
ury of this county having inoioted

chances for catching another term
in the penitentiary are seemingly
quite brilliant.

A neoro named Chatlos, alias
Henry Williams was arrested by
sheriff Dover and jailed the other
day. He is under indictment in
Fayette county for cow stealing.
He bad been in the county since
about Christmas and was staying
at Mr. J. Y. Wallace's plantation
near town. Sheriff Rankin, of
Fayette, took the prisoner to La-
