Denton had another fire at
(about 3 o'clock Friday afternoon.
I This time it was a cottage and
was totally destroyed. The house
belonged to W. C. Wright and
was built last spring at a cost of
about #100 or $500, and is just two
blocks north of the Normal. It
was not insured. Prof. Moore
was occupying it at the tim; and
lost all of his household goods
except those in one room. He
had $600 insurance. Mrs. Moore
built up a fire in the cook stove
just after dinner, went into an ad-
joining room and with her chil-
dren went to sleep, when she
awoke a neighbor lady had dis-
covered the fire and given the
alarm, but being fully a mile from
town and no close water connec-
tions, the fire department was
powerless.
