We take the following item
from the Ferris Wheel. Elder
Ezzell lived in Lancaster a num-
ber of years, and has many
friends here who will be glad to
hear from him. The Herald has
bad many communications from
the Elder in days gone Sy, and
can testify to his fine penman-
ship, . It is as plain as print:
•“The editor of the Wheel re-
ceived a postal card Saturday
from his father, Elder S. R. Ez-
zell, of Lometa. Forty-two lines
is said to be the limit that can be
legibly written on a postal card,
but h’e wrote forty-three on this
card as legible as print. There
were an average of ten words to
the line, making 430 words writ-
ten on the card—long enough for
a letter and" not a common feat
for a man of 74 years. Since S.
R. Ezzell resided in Ferris sev-
eral years, his friends here may
feel an interest in what he is do-
ing. in the line of his calling,
which he tells as follows, on the
card: “I still preach here the
third Sunday in each month and
teach a very interesting Bible
class in Sunday school. I may
hold a protracted meeting here
this summer if I can find space
between other meetings.1 I am
