The two largest gay and lesbian pride cele-
brations in the nation conclude with massive
parades this weekend. San Francisco’s week-
long observance was launched Monday when
Mayor Willie Brown hoisted the original gay
flag atop City Hall. And in New York, the
nation's largest pride parade is set for Sunday.
