Dear Readers,
The Fall District Six Meeting will
be Sunday, October 24, in Hungerford.
Hosting lodges will be Wharton and
East Bernard. They are planning to
serve a noon meal and they look for-
ward to having everyone come out and
enjoy the day. This will be our Fall
Fun Meeting so there will be contests
as usual in Needlework, Christmas
Ornament, Horseshoes, and candy for
the adults. More details will be pro-
vided later.

Dear Readers,
Our barbecue cookoff will be held
September 24-25. Senior dominoes and
fellowship is the First Wednesday of the
month at 2 p.m. Come and háve a good
time with us. Everyone is welcome.

July meeting
The meeting was called to order by
President George Pauling on July 18,
2004 at Linden Halí, Elm Mott at 2:30
p.m. with all officers present except
Vice President Mary Alice Langlotz.
There were 21 members present at
today’s meeting.
Members stood for a moment of
silent prayer for our deceased mem-
bers Dorothy Matula and Willie
Rejcek.

through the SPJST Home Office

Secretary Dana McAdams read the
minutes of the June 20 meeting, and
they were approved as read. Sister
Dana also read correspondence in a
Newsletter from Ronald McDonald
House. Correspondence was also read
from Assistant FAC Tammy Martinez
asking for sponsorship for the State
SPJST Golf Tournament which will be
held at Sammons Park Golf Course in
Temple on October 9. Lodge 66 will
sponsor one hole in memory of Gladys
Yates.
President Pauling also reminded
members of a retirement party for
Howard Leshikar, Sidney Kacir, and
Frank Klinkovsky on July 29 at the
SPJST Home Office.
Sister Darlene Engelke read a thank
you notě from the S upřeme Lodge for
the donations to the Gladys Yates
Memoriál Fund.
Chairman of the Board John
Engelke reported that the board met
today at 1:30 p.m. and had Secretary of
the Board LaNell Brém read the min-
utes. Brother Engelke thanked the
Milan Dujka family for installing new
vents in the halí and to Brother George
Pauling and Milan Dujka for mowing
grass around the halí. Also thanks to
the Dujka family for patching the floor
around the dance floor.
Chairman -of the Entertainment
Committee, Michael Galler, reported
that the committee met today. Today,
Brother Michael and Brother Louie
Veselka will make hamburgers and the
members were asked to bring desserts.
For the August 15 meeting, the com-
mittee will fumish cold cutš and mem-
bers are asked to bring desserts. For
the September 19 Linden Halí
Anniversary meal, fried chicken,
salad, rolls, and ice cream will be
served.
Sister Dorothy Veselka gave the
Cheer and Condolence Committee
report for Chairman Emma Česka.
Sympathy cards were sent to Mr. and
Mrs. Willie Hejl on the death of her
mother, Dorothy Matula; to Dorothy
Rejcek on the death of her husband,
Willie Rejcek; and to James Yates fam-
ily. A get well card was sent to Sister
Emma Česka who was not feeling
well. Emma, it was good to see you
and Otis at our meeting today. Hope
you both are feeling better.
Congratulations to George and Sue
Pauling on their 30th wedding anniver-
sary on July 7.
Bookkeeper Sister Diana Engelke
gave the bookkeeping report.
The Auditing Committee, Sisters
LaNell Brém, Irene Mueller, and Janie
Dujka audited all the books, and all
were found in verv good order. Thank
you.
