Look out for a bumper crop in

us hope that it will not be all cot-
ton, either.
ALL Texas has undergone a
thorough cleaning the past
month, for which the meningitis
scare is to be thanked.
A logical conclusion: “Don’t
worry about the cares of this life:
you will never come out of it
alive anyhow. ’’—Cameron Enter-
prise. _
Mr Boll Weevil is indeed a
tough citizen if he has success-
fully withstood the freezes in
Texas this winter. Here’s hop-
in’ that his multitudinous toes
are all turned up.
A good motto: “When busi-
ness is good, advertise some to
get more; when business is bad.
advertise more to get some.”
Any business can apply this
motto anywhere at any time, and
always with the assurance of re-
sults. __
There have been many shade
trees planted in Regal Rockdale
recently and there are others
to be planted. He who plants
a tree is a public benefactor
and likewise a long-headed
citizen. Beautify your prem-

The Reporter is authorized to make
the following announcements for City
offices, subject to the White Man's

For City Attorney,
E. A. CAMP.
E. A. Camp.
In our announcement column
for city officers will be found the
name of E. A. Camp for city at-
torney. Mr. Camp is holding the
office at present, having been
elected two years ago. He has
made Rockdale one of the best
officers the town has ever had,
being at all times diligent in the
dispatch of business for the mu-
nicipality, and giving it the same
careful, conscientious attention
which he would give to his own
affairs. He asks for another
term, promising the same course
if elected.
Mr. Camp is one of the bright-
est lawyers in Milam county, and
his ability is only exceeded by
his energy. Rockdale could not
do better than retain him in this
office.
