Two great-grandmothers, Mrs. Ida Rubin and Mrs. Rella
Steinberg of Dallas will proudly witness the Bat Mitzvah of !
their great-granddaughter, Nina Rubin, this Friday evening
at Ahavath Sholom Synagogue. Nina is the daughter of
Bobbie and Sherwin Rubin and granddaughter of Gertrude
and Bennie Rubin and Mr. and Mrs. Hyman Stein of
Chattanooga, Tenn., all of whom will attend the simcah.
Other out-of-town guests will include Mrs. Jay Menuskin
and daughters, Jill, Zelda and Lisa, of Chattanooga; Mr. and
Mrs. Ben Goodstein and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Goodstein and
children, Fran, Sharon and David of Knoxville; Mr. and Mrs.
Steve Shanzer of Kansas City and Mr. and Mrs. Sol Alpard
of Wharton. Dallas guests will also include Bernice and Sam
Raden, Mrs. Pearl Steinberg, the Allen Schusters, Linda and
Larry Steinberg, Dr. and Mrs. Joel Steinberg, Dr. and Mrs.
Bernard Schnitzer and Mrs. Leon Abovitz. The Rubins will
honor their daughter at a Reception following the Bat Mitzvah
and at an Open House at their home, 3212 Medina, on Satur-
day evening, beginning at 8:30 p.m. No invitations have
been issued and all friends are invited.

we enjoyed earlier this week at the
new Willow Gardens at 6712 Camp
Bowie, The Oriental cusine cooked
before your eyes is sheer delight.
The proprietors are a young Chinese
engineer, Rex Liu, working on his
doctorate and his charming wife,

gant Dallas Israel Bond Dinner hon-
oring Miriam Eshkol, a true first
lady of Israel, at the Fairmount
Hotel included Shirley and Charlie
Anton, Madlyn and Lou Barnett,
Hortense and Steve Deifik, Sarah
and Bob Kragen, Miriam and Shooky
Labovitz and your TJP scribes.
Kaye and Tommy Goldman and
youngsters will spend Thanksgiving
with her folks in Houston. Hannah
Sandler just back from Tulsa where
she guested with her children, Elea-
nor and Bill Haas and family. A
most welcome note from Marian
Fahn who reports the good news
that “all’s well - no surgery slated
for Eli - just a change in medica-
tion.”

Simon Jr. flew to Boston for a
visit with her cousin and a brief
respite from working on her Master’s
degree at TCU. Celebrating Hanuka

be her Dad, Sidney Dunn, of New
York City and good friend, David
Bond of Surrey, England.

ter Ann, in San Antonio. Speedy

MRS. GREGORY C. BECKMAN
In a seven o’clock November
26 wedding, Miss Donna Sue Fleisch-
mann, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Max Fleischmann, was wed to
Gregory C. Beckman, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Gilbert A. Beckman of
Cincinnati. The ceremony was read
by Rabbi Isadore Garsek at the
home of the bride’s parents, 4304
Westdale.
Given in marriage by her father,
the bride wore a floor-length gown
of white taffeta under lace, fashion-
ed with a standing lace collar and
cuffs and an embroidered bodice
of seed pearls. Her waist-length
white illusion veil fell from a white
satin and seed pearl petal cap.
The bride was attended by her
sisters, Miss Linda Fleischmann of
