3310. ADVANCED SHORTHAND WITH TRANSCRIPTION
Designed for advanced students in office administration with emphasis upon
transcription from material dictated at a minimum of 80 words per minute.
This transcription must be in mailable form. At the end of the course the stu-
dent should be able to write a minimum of one hundred words a minute on
five minutes of unpreviewed material with an accuracy of ninety-five percent
or better. Three class periods a week. Prerequisites: Office Administration
2320 and the equivalent of two semesters of college typewriting.
4310. OFFICE AND PROCEDURES WITH MACHINES AND WORD
PROCESSING
Designed to study the organization of the business office and the duties and
functions of the office worker. Class periods devoted to problem materials on
adding machines, electronic calculators, programmable electronic calculators,
voice-writing machines, and word processing computers. Three class periods
weekly.
