The four year program outlined above will satisfy all Core Curriculum requirements for
the Bachelor of Arts Degree. The number of elective hours taken must result in an overall
minimum of 126 semester hours for the degree, to include a minimum of 40 semester
hours of advanced work. The student may vary the sequences of courses among the four
years, but should do so after consultation with and upon the advice of one or more of
the PreLaw Faculty Advisors.

degree can be completed in a school of pharmacy chosen by the student.

schools of pharmacy about programs for the first two years.
PREPHYSICAL THERAPY
A degree in Physical Therapy requires three years of college work plus a year of training
at a professional school. There are four physical therapy schools in the state of Texas. The
admission requirements are different for each school. The prerequisites for the School of
Allied Health Professions in Dallas are given as an example.

Competition for admission to physical therapy schools is based on cumulative grade
point average, grade point average in science courses, breadth of science background,
consistency and/or improvement in academic performance, as well as personal qualities,
motives, and characteristics. Although most schools state that admission to their program
requires a minimum overall grade point average of 2.0, students should be aware of the
fact that this is not high enough to be competitive.60
