1. ^lter-erronal Born in St. Frances,
.iaine, she grewr up speaking French as well
as English. VJhile attending Cambridge
Preparatory School and Junior College, she
met a young Harvard graduate, HJaldemar
falter, whom she marie d in 1948.
Their clhii ren are Patty, 9; DeeDee,
7, and Charles, 6. The family cane to
Denton in 195&, wrhen DrI. .alter joined the
faculty of Texas 7foman's University as a
medmer of the department of biologr.
Verona first joined the LT:V in
Charleston, S. C., ad was instrumental in
organizing our local. group.
Also a Girl Scout leader, and an
active member of St. Andrewr Presbyterian
Church, Verona finds her LR.NV duties are
a full-time job. And to round things out
we should add that she is slim, irillovjy,
