Bicenfennial rodeo coming
to campus nexf weekend

The 12th annual ACU Rodeo
is scheduled for April 9th and
10th at the Old Abilene Town
Arena.
The rodeo is sponsored by the
ACU Rodeo Club and will
include events for men women
and teams.
The men's events include
bareback riding bull riding
tic-down calf roping and chute
dogging.
The women's events are steer
riding barrel racing pole
bending and goat tying.
The men's team event is wfld
cow milking and the women's

Douglass is a senior accounting major. Her husband Gary also attends ACU.
'Nicholas and Alexandra'
premiers SA film festival
The Students' Association
sponsored film festival will begin
Sunday evening with "Nicholas
and Alexandra" in Moody Coli-
seum. The festival wfll continue
through the week and will
feature five classic films. The
showings will begin at 8 p.m.
and admission will be 25 cents.
The Festival opener
"Nicholas and Alexandra" is the
story of the last czar of Russia
and his wife.
Monday's film shown in the
Main Room will be the silent
classic "The General." It was
produced in 1927 and stars
Buster Keaton who also wrote

team should consist of 3 or 4
persons.
There will also be a greased
pig contest. Two-person teams

The entry fee for each of the
individual events is $5 while the
team event fee is 59 per team.

the rodeo at the ticket booth in
the Campus Center. Tickets to
the Rodeo which are. SO cents
for children and $1 for adults
may also be purchased at the
ticket booth.

Seargeants" the Tuesday movie.
It will be shown in Walling. This
comedy will be featured at the
USA Film Festival in Dallas in
April.
No film will be presented
Wednesday. Thursday in
Walling John Wayne will star in
"Stagecoach" the 1935 Western
classic directed by John Ford.
"North by Northwest" a
1959 Alfred Hitchcock thriller
set in San Francisco and starring
Cary Grant and Eve Marie Saint
will be featured Friday in
Walling.
According to Rodeo Club
president Cindy Kenner a S2S
gift certificate will be awarded
to winners of each event and a
S65 gift certificate for a belt
buckle will be awarded to each
the all-around cowboy and cow-
girl. Miss Kenner said horses from
the ACU farm wfll be furnished
for barrel racing and pole bend-
ing but participants should
make their own arrangements
for riggings.
The grand entrance at the
rodeo will feature a special
riding drill performed by the
Taylor County Sheriffs Posse.

1976 spring semester plans are
being made for Summer School.
First session is May 30 - July 6
and second session spans July 7
-Aug. 12.
Assistant Academic Dean Ed
Enzor said that there will be no
tuition increase for this summer
and further stated that campus
housing and student services will
not increase in costs.
Students interested in the
Summer School program should
start applying now and will find
information available in the
Registrar's Office. Financial Aid

Auditions for the 1976 Home-
coming musical "The King and
I" will be held April 19 20 and
21 from 3-7 p.m. in Sewell
