English department
to conduct meetings
of Christian teachers
The department of English will conduct
two consecutive conferences beginning
Thursday and running through Oct.4.
During the first conference English
teachers and professors from Christian
colleges in the United States and Canada
will discuss problems of common interest
to the Church of Christ-sponsored schools
The conference ends at noon Oct. 3 and
registration for the annual Region IV
meeting of the Conference on Christianity
and Literature will begin at 1 p m.
The opening session of the second
conference co sponsored by the English
departments of ACU and Hardin-Simmons
University will begin at 2 p in. in room 208
of the Moody Center on the HSU campus.
The conference will move to the ACU
campus Oct. 4 with a breakfast at 7:30
a.m. in the Main Room of the Campus
Center.
The Conference on Christianity and
Literature is composed of members from a
variety of academic institutions and
religious traditions. Approximately 150
members are expected to attend the
conference which will focus mainly on the
interplay of literature and faith
