Forceful Sermon '
Is Given Sunday
"MARRIAGE 'AND DIVORCE"
SUBJECT. OF INSPIRING
TALK BY M'MILLAN
IS
"Marrlago and Divorce" was the
subject presented by E. W. McMillan
minister lor tho. College Church of
Christ at tho morning hour Sunday.
Prefacing his address by reading the
seventh chapter of I Corinthians he
spoko at length upon the question
which is creating a great deal of com-
ment throughout America today.
The speaker also brought out in
tho course of his sermon several
points showing the relationship of
tho church of today wth the Now
Testament church. It was his opin-
ion that the church is having the
samo difficulties today as they had
In the early days.
It was suggested that thero is a
lack of lovo among Christians and
that jealousies are still prevalent.
Tho faults of not giving and of going
to law with other Christians were
also condemned by the minister.
In connection with his dscussion of
"Marrlago and Divorce" McMillan
showed that there is one and only
one excuse for a divorce in tho sight
of God. As a contrast he spoke of
the grounds for divorce which are
given by Texas laws. Tho people of
today are losing sight of the Divine
law and are observing earthly laws
too much was the conclusion of the
speaker.
This address was one of a series
of sermons which are being given by
McMillan on the Corinthian Letter.
