The fall production of the
drama department "Solid Gold
Cadillac" will open in Theater
202 on Nov. 7 at 8 p. m. with
performances following on Nov.
9 10 12 13 and 14.
Theater 202 buzzed with activ-
ity Tuesday night when the
drama department began re-
hearsals for its fall production
"Solid Gold Cadillac" with the
lead roles being played by Miss
Sharon Tucker as Mrs. Partridge
and Carl Nowlin as Ed Mc-
Keever. Miss Tucker plays the part of
a very determined outspoken and
somewhat obstinate shareholder.
As the play moves along and
it moves at a very good pac
Miss Tucker's activities pre-
dominate more and more. Now-
lin does an excellent job of play-
ing senator and ex-official of the
General Products Company.
The play builds into a spicy
comedy with the humor increas-
ing as the play progresses. The
actions of the cast and especially
of the leading characters add to
the humor as it builds toward a
climax.
The actions timing and audi-
ence contact generally speaking
are good. However there are a
few rough spots in timing and
traffic which need to be worked
out. As for delivery of lines it
would be difficult for one in the
audience to find any of the tell-
tale characteristics of memoriza-
tion. In most Cases the intonation
of the entire cast was good with
few exceptions.
