The University of North Texas Archives present their collection of photographs for the 1997 National Cutting Horse Association Summer Cutting Spectacular, which was held at the Will Rogers Coliseum in Fort Worth, Texas. Founded in 1946, the National Cutting Horse Association is an equestrian organization that strives to promote cutting horses as a competition sport. Their goal is to promote the breeding, training and sport of the horses, while encouraging individuals, families and companies to become involved in the sport of cutting. This collection contains over 100 photographs of contestants in various stages of the competition.
