Description: Photograph of the first barge purchased by John Dollinger Jr., Inc., anchored at the Port of Beaumont. The barge was purchased from U. S. Steel in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in 1949. A group of men are in the process of loading it with steel products with the help of a crane. In the background are warehouse buildings, a crane, and a watertower.
