Most of the group is sitting down, while a few insurrectos are standing. Most of the insurrectos have their rifles in their hands. The vast majority of the insurrectos in the group are men of middle age, or older, the two insurrectos at the far left of the photo appear to be mere boys, perhaps teenagers.

Accompanying information identifies the location to be El Sauz, Chihuahua. El Sauz is a small town on the outskirts of Chihuahua City in Mexico. It is further noted that the men are awaiting orders to enter Chihuahua City.

Description: Photograph of a large group of unidentified men in an unknown location. The men are all dressed in fine suits, and most sport a fedora style hat. The men are crowded around a pile of sticks and sacks. The large sack on the ground has some words imprinted on it, though most are illegible, "Sin Mexico" (Without Mexico) is seen right in the center.
