Plan I. Implementation by Certified Art Specialist
Alternative A - This plan includes a total of twenty-three certified art
specialists by September, 1989.
Alternative B - This plan includes a total of twelve certified art specialists
who would serve two schools each beginning September, 1989.
Alternative C - This plan includes a total of six certified art specialists
who would serve two schools each semester beginning September,
1989.
Alternative D - This plan is a four year phase in of Alternative B which
involves adding twelve certified art specialists.
Plan 11. Implementation by Classroom Teachers and Art Specialists
Getty Grant - This plan includes a cooperative effort between the Getty
Foundation and the University of North Texas to train a member from
each first to fifth grade team in all schools in discipline based art
education. The plan further includes two art specialists.
Plan Ill. Implementation by Classroom Teachers
PISD Inservice - This plan includes a total of thirty-six inservice hours
throughout the 1990-1991 school year. The presenters will be PISD
secondary art professionals. Attendance will be required for a member
from each grade level (1-5) from each school.
