Dear Nicki:
I certainly enjoyed meeting with you yesterday and am excited
about the upcoming "Wanderers" exhibition. As I am about to go on
vacation, I wanted to share my thoughts with you about how we might
assist our Institute K-1 teachers and art specialists in preparing
their students for the exhibition.
As mentioned, we will announce the exhibit in the October
first NTIEVA newsletter. Either in the newsletter or in a separate
mailout, we will outline ideas for connections with K-1 social
studies, as well as the larger global theme of world peace. Model
lessons tied to aesthetics, art history, art criticism and
production activities will be included.
Bill has talked to Gail Davitt about the possibility of
arranging tour dates for Institute participants, so of course, that
information will be shared with them as well.
I'll be in touch mid-September with a draft of this outline.
