CRIME
A federal charge of inter-state
property brings Gary Mark Boothshipment of stolen
to the U.S. CourtHouse in Dallas for arraignment. The 27-year-old
ex-convict is alleged to have taken a number of
antiques, silver trays and jade figurines to Boston,
after the Manheim Galleries were looted of 100-thousan4
dollars worth of rare items last August 27th. Booth's
request for a court-appointed lawyer was turned down
today, when the court discovered he was living in a
200-dollar-a-month apartment and pays 135 dollars a
month for his car. Bond was set at five-thousand
instead of the 25-thousand, asked by the government,
on the condition that Booth move out of his high-rise
apartment and go to work. He agreed, posted bond and
left hurriedly.
