Dallas city councilman Gary Webber has
WEBBER :
criticized again the spiraling crime rate in Dallas and said one of the main problems is the rate of clearance. Webber said there was a 54% increase in major offenses in Februrary over the same month last year. He said there were only 15.4% of the crimes cleared by arrest compared to a 1969 rate of 217 and a 1968 rate of 287g. Webber complained that the crime rate has got to be the number one concern of the people of Dallas and it isn't even being discussed by the city council.
