By a vote of 6-to-3 , the Fort Worth city council
today the 7Qpoint-9 million dollar central
library construction proposal from next month's
capital improvement bond issue.TEEELFILM:
The three councilmen who voted against today's move
said the library portion would jeopardize
passage of the other five proposals in the bond
election. Those that supported the deletion claimed
the library segment would fail, and take the otherswith it,
since f two-cent Lax hike would be needed
r'to finance the entire 45-million-dollar issue. V ith
the library out, the bond issue cut to 38-million
dollars, which could be financed without raising
taxes. Councilman Saarsgard, who voted tb retain the
