The T x 377 D r T The Texas Highway Department plans to improve a 22-
mile stretch of highway 3-77 from Benbrook to a spot just east of Grandbury. A public hearing on the project was held today at the United Methodist Church at Cresson, one of the towns through which 3-77 passes. The four million dollar program calls for widening the roadway into a four- lane divided highway, 1 except in the vicinity of Cresson, where. it will NOT be divided. A few , Cresson residents questioned the safety of the non- divided stretch. But Robert Brown, a highway . department design engineer, said all possible safety features will be included in the project. Traffic on 3-77 has increased substantially, especially on week- ends, since the M completion of Lake Grandbury. AA low44 Thz4M4
