Script from the WBAP-TV/NBC station in Fort Worth, Texas, covering a news story about the restoration and archaeology of Presidio La Bahia, known also as Fort Defiance, near Goliad; The fort was founded in 1749 by Spanish Royalists, and has been occupied variously by Spanish, Mexican, Texans, Mexicans, etc., and was the site of the March 27, 1836 Palm Sunday massacre of James Fannin and nearly 500 prisoners by the Mexican Army during the Texas Revolution.
