tactically important i1irebase Bastogne, which controls
the main avenue of approach into the old imperial
city of Hue. The crack let Infantry division made
the successful operation. They met only light enemy
resistance in sizing the fire-base, which the North
Vietnamese seized some two weeks ago. And, some 16-

raids on three Communist controlled cities in the
vital Luang Tri province. NBC's Don North went along
