Curtis King, Writer & Director Under the leadership of Curtis King, TBAAL has become the "cultural icon" of the Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex,
presenting over 100 cultural arts programs and events - attracting more than 500,000 people annually. King has distinguished himself and his non-
profit organization, The Black Academy of Arts and Letters, Inc. (TBAAL), not only in Dallas, but nationally and internationally, by promoting and
perpetuating the Arts and Letters of African Americans in the Fine, Literary and Performing Arts. A native of Coldwater, Mississippi, King founded The
Black Academy of Arts and Letters, Inc. (formerly the Junior Black Academy of Arts and Letters) 28 years ago at his dining room table with a personal
investment of only $250 to support it. The Black Academy of Ats and Letters, Inc. is the only African American multi-disciplined cultural arts
organization in the country housed inside a major urban convention center. In addition to exceptional administrative skills, King has conceived,
created and directed scores of highly acclaimed plays, musical tributes, concerts, and other cultural events aimed at uplifting the Black community, as
well as enlightening diverse audiences. Often called the "King of Tributes," he is constantly developing or being sought after to develop, produce or
direct new projects.
Kimelee (Kim) Anderson Wigfall A talented actress with stage and film credits, Wigfall s was a theatre major in college. For three years she
traveled with Ann Nieto's Children's Theatre Group to perform at inner-city schools. She has also been stage manager and a cast member with
Cantaloupe Productions in "Oh My God It's Sister C" and "Don't Throw Your Life Away" starring gospel comedian Sister Cantaloupe.
Doris Black This Dallas native has appeared in many local productions including "The Cotton Club," "Stat," "Breakin' Down the Wall," "A Mother's
Grief, and "Holy Ghost Party." She is also a member of the St. John Baptist Church Theater Ministry. Black is the author of a book of poetry, "Poems
from The Heart" and two children's book. Her performance is dedicated to the memory of her late parents, George and Zenobia Gregory.
Kimberly Colwell Making her debut performance at the Clarence Muse Cafe Theatre, Colwell is dedicating the performance to her late grandmother,
Annie Mae Spencer and to her husband, Quinton Colwell.
Walter Fautleroy No stranger to entertaining, Fautleroy's most recent productions include his portrayal of Duke Solinus in "Comedy of Errors," the
2004 Shakespeare Festival of Dallas, a European and New York tour in the musical play "Blind Lemon Blues." He has portrayed a wide variety of
characters and was an ensemble member in "Shakespeare Midnight Echoes. Fautleroy has also appeared in several independent short film projects:
"The Dawn of Twilight," "La Verdad," "Domino," "Black Voices: An Inside Look at Black Relationship Behind the Veil," "Unto Thee," and
"The Boulevard."
Perisean (Peri) Hall A graduate of Richardson High School and the University of North Texas with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Radio-TV-Film,
Hall has appeared in community and Christian theatre, national/regional/local TV commercials, print ad campaigns, and voice-overs for Fortune 500
companies. Hall is a self-employed actress and has worked as Production Assistant at KXAS-TV-Channel 5, where she gained experience as a
Broadcast Journalist.
Dondra Harris This professional singer became a part of the first gospel group to have a video played on mainstream MT ("Stomp" God's Property
featuring Kirk Franklin). She also appeared in the video "You Are The One" from the same release. Hams was awarded a Grammy certificate for her
participation as a performer on the Grammy award-wining album. She has performed on the Trinity Broadcasting Network as a soloist and has been a
back up singer for the hit gospel group Trinitee 5-7.
Linda Lee Singer, actress and Memphis native, Linda Lee, grew up in a family of singers. After attending college, she was hired to sing back up for
Rufus Thomas renown for "The Funky Chicken" and other R&B songs. In 1985, she recorded the song, "I Have A Dream" featured in the movie, "In
Remembrance of Martin." She also performed in four of playwright/producer Shelly Garrett's plays including "Beauty Shop." Lee was the featured
vocalist on the Showboat Branson Belle in Branson, Missouri where she performed Gospel, Blues and Jazz.
Cecelia Mason Born and raised in Washington, D.C., Mason taught at the Arts Magnet High School in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and the Booker T.
Washington High School for Performing and Visual Arts in Dallas. Her stage experience is mainly as a dancer. She performed with the Juba
Contemporary Dance Theater in Philadelphia. Mason made her Dallas acting debut October 2004 in the musical production, "The Cotton Club."
