Hill Country Chapter: Past President
John Frizzell, Texas President Clovis
Brakebill and President George Tate
display the coveted SAR National Presi-
dent's Achievement Award that they won
for their efforts last year. Congratu-
lations. President Tate delivered a
talk on the Constitution in September.
Patrick Henry Chapter: The Honorable
Steven B. Derounian, former Justice of
the New York Supreme Court spoke on "The
State of our Union--by a Former Insider."
Compatriot Robert Miller received his 25
year Membership Certificiate from
President Robert Winston at his Church.
The Patrick Henry Chapter celebrated
Constitution Day with the DAR ladies.
Panhandle Plains Chapter: In September
President Brakebill gave a slide presen-
tation on "The Yorktown Bicentennial
Celebration." In October Lt. Hufman
presented a program entitled "Challenge
at Sea," a comparison of the U.S. Navy
and the USSR Navy.

.President Sam Kail , Dallas Chapter
presents 25 year membership certificates
to Compatriots G. Duffield Smith and
Judge Dee Brown Walker. The chapter
also honored Gen. Rumaggi with a plaque
for his efforts throughout the years in
the SAR on the local, State and National
level.El Paso Chapter: In September President
Ted Hover honored all Compatriots with
membership rosettes and State President
Brakebill honored the chapter by pre-
senting the Karl Wallace Membership
Plaque.
Major K.M. VanZandt Chapter: Met with
the DAR for Constitution luncheon in
September. At their chapter meeting
they heard an interesting talk on the
redevelopment of downtown Fort Worth.
In October Mr. Jackson of Fort Worth
Park Department presented how the Log
Cabin Villages were built.
Paul Carrington Chapter: District
Attorney John B. Holmes was the honored
speaker at their Constitution Celebration
on September 14th.
San Antonio Chapter: Compatriot Tom
Bresnehen delivered a fine talk on "The
Expeditions to Canada by Commanders
Montgomery and Arnold." Col. Albert
Metts displayed his sword collection to
everyone's enjoyment. The chapter also
shared their luncheon with the DAR on
Constitution Day.
