WINTER 1996
President shall be authorized to convene a meeting of any
Local Chapter in his District not providing such notice by
requiring the Corresponding Secretary to notify each
member of the Local Chapter of the date, time and place for
such meeting the District Vice President selects.
ARTICLE X - EXPULSION
SECTION 3. If any member is deemed guilty of an
offense designated in Section 2 of this article, he shall be
charged therewith in writing. The charge shall be filed with
the State Secretary who shall forthwith deliver it to the
President of this Society and each member of the Board of
Managers, by mail or otherwise, a copy thereof, and shall
also deliver by mail otherwise a copy to the accused. A
meeting of the Board of Managers for the purpose of hear-
ing such charge shall be called within but not to exceed
sixty days after the receipt thereof by the State Secretary,
unless a regular meeting of the Board of Managers is held
within such a period of time. The accused shall receive not
less than seven days notice of the time and place of the
meeting of the Board of Managers. The Board of Managers
shall hear the evidence and determine the guilt or inno-
cence of the accused. No member shall be expelled except
upon the vote of two-thirds of the Board of Managers pre-
sent at such hearing.

Constitution, amended, or in any manner changed, at any
Annual Meeting of the Society or at any special meeting
called for that purpose. A copy of such proposed New Con-
stitution, Amendments, or change shall be provided to the
President and Secretary of each Chapter of the State Soci-
ety by the State Secretary not less than thirty days prior to
the Annual Meeting at which the same is to be voted upon,
and the deposit of said copy by the State Secretary in the
United States Mail, first class postage prepaid, not less
than thirty three days prior to said convention and sepa-
rately addressed to each President and Secretary at the last
known mailing address of each respectively, as shown by
the records of the State Secretary, shall constitute a com-
pliance with the requirements of this provision. Any
change voted by the members at the meeting shall be incor-
porated therein upon final adoption. A two-thirds vote of
the delegates present shall be required for adoption.This Constitution may be superseded by a new

ARTICLE I - MEMBERSHIP
SECTION 1. Application for membership shall be
made through a Local Chapter upon duplicate blank forms
prescribed by the National Society, and shall in each case
set forth the name, occupation, residence of the applicant,
line of descent, and the name, residence and service of his
ancestor or ancestors in the American Revolution, from
whom he claims eligibility. Any applicant for membership
containing references to persons born on or after January
1, 1930, shall not be considered unless accompanied by an
affidavit of the applicant to the effect that the line of
descent upon which the applicant relies is entirely by blood
and included no relationship created by adoption or other-
wise. However, if there is no Local Chapter within the
radius of one hundred miles of the residence of the appli-
cant, the application may be made direct to the State Sec-
retary.
