They are all dressed in formal attire and cowboy hats. L. B. Kinchion served as principal of the West Austin Colored Public School in Austin (1900-1901) and a teacher at the Gregory Colored School in Austin (1906-1907). He was an incorporator and president of the Colored Teacher’s State Assoc. of Texas.
