Attachment: Erickson material on curriculum
In the last week, I've had two opportunities to talk with Lani about the work of the Curriculum
Task Force. As co-chairs of that task force, I wanted you to be aware of what she and I agreed
to in terms of the process we would like to follow. If you have any questions about this, please
call Julie Abel who will be your liaison with Lani.
Scope of Work
Summer 1996
1. Lani works with consultant to develop process for a team of national consultants
including Elliot Eisner, Brent Wilson and others to be determined. That will include, but
not necessarily be limited to: reviewing the RIGS' materials and some commercially
available curricula; developing a framework and scope and sequence; analyzing the RIGs'
self-selected "best" curriculum unit; and creating a model unit or defining what a model
unit looks like.112 South Washington, P.O. Box 909 Douglas, Michigan 49406 Telephone 616 857-1754
