Description

Photograph of people viewing a hippo head statue at Six Flags Over Texas in Arlington. The hippo head statue has a smooth, reflective surface and has its mouth opened wide as it faces the right side of the photo. The head sits on a tall metal base, which two young boys stand in front of to examine the hippo's mouth. One boy, with short hair and dressed in a short-sleeved t-shirt and shorts, stands next to the front right corner of the statue with one hand on the edge of the hippo's mouth. The boy looks up at the top of the hippo's mouth while the second boy, similarly dressed and standing to his left, looks down at a cup the shorter boy holds in his right hand. Two men stand near the boys watching them, with the short-haired man on the left closing his eyes as he smiles. Both him and the man to his right wear dark pants and short-sleeved collared shirts. Additionally, the man on the right has shades in his shirt pocket, a bag hanging from his left shoulder, short hair combed to the side, stripes on his shirt, and has his left hand in his front left pants pocket. To the left of the hippo head statue is a thin tree with branches that extend into the top left corner of the photo. More branches extend from the right side of the photo, coming from an off-camera tree and filling the top-right corner of the image. Under these branches stands a woman with her hair tied back, wearing a light polka-dotted shirt and dark shorts. She looks at the hippo statue while carrying a bag in her right hand. In left side of the photo's background are trees in multiple curb-enclosed gravel patches. In the right half of the background, adults stand in front of a white bench, trees, and shrubs. Beyond that are architectural structures that are mostly blocked from view by trees.
