Description

  • Content Description: Tex Ritter, a true legend of country music, received numerous accolades and achievements throughout his illustrious career. He was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1964, becoming the fifth member to receive this prestigious honor. In 1971, he was awarded the Country Music Association (CMA) Founding President's Award, recognizing his immense contributions to the genre. Tex's accomplishments spanned beyond music, as he ventured into Broadway, recorded for various record labels, and starred in the first singing-cowboy film, "Song of the Gringo," in 1936. His impact on country music was undeniable, as reflected in his inclusion on Life magazine's list of the "100 Most Important People in History of Country [Music]" in 1994.
