Notes

Description from donor: "This is an absence note I received from an urgent care facility when I found myself positive with COVID in the month of November 2023 the weekend before Thanksgiving. I had work that weekend and I wanted to get started on a essay final, but when the COVID test was positive and I had to call in and get back into bed. This was scary due that I already had COVID before and it was also during a time when I had classes. I remember that week being hard due to being too sick to properly think or do anything but didn't want to take time away from school and still submitted assignments and attended classes. This particular round of COVID was worse due to that I had a job now and it was nearing the end of my first semester of grad school. That morning I was stressing about having to put work and school aside to just do nothing but rest. But when I went to urgent care to get a note excusing my extended absence at work, they mentioned that this wasn't something that I should try to work through. They said that trying to work through it would make recovery more laborious and I might not be happy with anything I work on once I fully recovered. They told me to just follow what the note said and just take the few days off to focus on getting better before I had to return to working. And they were right."
