  • Content Description: Photograph of the Men's Gymnasium on W Highland St across from where the Coliseum now stands. A man can be seen outside the building, and several cars are parked on the curb. It is also known as “the pit.” The gym opened December 1, 1950, with a seating capacity of 4,500. The opening of this facility allowed spectators other than students to attend games and other programs. It was renamed the Ken Bahnsen Gym in 2005.
