WORK TO BEGIN ON NEW HEALTH CENTER 1-1-1-1
LONG PAN OF EXCAVATION
The bitter battle over the location of the new
City-County Health Center in Fort Worth is over.
Workmen are busy at the original site on Amon
Carter Square removing re-enforcing steel and
other materials to the current site on University
Drive in Trinity Park. The change in location
came after work had begun on the project--and the
excavation for the building was complete. The
controversy arose last fall when top civic
leaders in Fort Worth expressed objections to
the site.
AFTEP SWISH PAN-SEWER DITCH
The cost of the move to the new location, shown
here, Is being financed by private citizens who
opposed the original site. They have put up
$45,000 to defray expenses of the move. Principle
objection to the first site was that the project
would not fit in with the educational and culturalmore
