If you wish to be on this group-rate Team Dallas flight, and if you've not
already done so, it is your responsibility to call Phil Johnson, 821-1653 or Travel
Source, 520-8844 or Team Dallas Voice Mail, 521-5342 X800. Do it now. For Team
Dallas information and registration forms, call Tom Faucett at 942-0866.
To Strut our Stuff, We Must Dress the Part
To give Manhattanites what they expect of Texans, Team Dallas members will
wear, starting from the bottom up: Cowboy boots, of course. (Your own, black. If
boots hurt your tenderfoot feet, construction boots or tennis shoes will do.) Black
jeans. (Your own, Wrangler western-cut 936 for those who own washbdard abs and
slim butts - 22MWV for those of us who want to sit down without hearing an
embarrassing rip.)
Team Dallas hopes, but does not promise, to generate enough money to provide
each of you with a long-sleeve, white western shirt with the multi-colored Team Dallas
logo on the back. Also, a white cowboy hat with a gay-rainbow hat band and a "Texas
Theme" cloisonne. Therefore, we need your shirt and hat sizes, now. Call Phil at
821-1653. We need to order shirts and hats by April first. April two is too late!
It's likely you will also receive a travel bag filled gifts from local bars and
businesses. Maybe a tee-shirt from Miller Beer and a red bandana, among other
things. With all that, you will indeed be a sight in Manhattan! Try standing at the
corner of Broadway and 42nd street in that git-up!
Note: DIFFA Dallas will graciously provide HIV positive Team Dallas
members with the above. Tom is compiling a confidential list. Call him by April 1.
How to Make $ for Your New York Adventure
There will be a gigantic Community Flea Market behind the Crossroads Gym on
April 30 from 10 am to 6 pm. Team Dallas individuals or teams may rent a 12X12
space for a mere 10 bucks and sell whatever the market desires. The profit is yours.
(Others may rent a space for $20.) So start cleaning out those closets.- Start thinking
of something unique to sell. But expect to see junk and jewels, crafts and arts, food
and drink, clowns and buffoons, entertainment and a joyous mob of people shopping
for bargains. Past flea markets have made big $. Make the most of this one. For a
space, call Tom at 942-0866 or leave a message with our Voice Mail, 521-5342 X800.
