He announced his impending retirement,
and the bar association followed by expressing a pref-
erence for assistant district attorney Dutch Winters asMcGee's replacement.

Judge Byron Matthews, wd of the other Tarrant County
Criminal District court, also ordered the doors closed
today, and said he understood the courts would not
reopen until after the funeral.
Judge McGee's bailiffs, Mrs. Ruth Little and BennieStevens, place a wreath in front of the bench.
Funeral
services are scheduled for two o'clock Friday afternoon
in Fort Worth's First Methodist Church. Burial is tobe at Greenwood cemetery.
