The way they're packed in at the Cotton Bowl
you' d think Doak Walker was still quarterbacking
for SMU. But the big attraction is not football,
itts fireworks, with a circus thrown in for
good measure. The performers are members of
the Gainesville Community Circus, most of emj)
amateurs with the talent of professionals.1This
fella has all the grace of an elephant as he
four-steps to organ music.
MED. RINGMASTER
The Gainesville circus is in its 32nd year.
Most of its performances are devoted to
raising money for charities. One member of
this trio of high-wire artists appears to be
lying down on the job. Better get up before
you get stepped on.
