manager of the Union Terminal Company, owner# of the ancientiron horse.
"Parts are hard to come by," says Newton,
"and Seven Spot has been requiring more and more attention
in her old age." While her diesel replacement is enroute
from Cleburne, Seven Spot issues her last belch of smoke.
GROUP OF MEN GATHER BESIDE HER
Some of the old-timers who helped Seven Spot pass the
million mile mark gather at her side. They boast, to
a man, that she has switched more cars than any engine
in the nation. With a final shake of her bell, old Seven
Spot reluctanlty gives up railroading.
