Bylaws of the Texas Stonewall Democratic Caucus
Section 2. The Executive Board shall set annual membership-dies fees in March. Individual
dles membership fees shall be paid by May 31St of each year. Local Stenewall LGBT
Democratic Club dues membership fees, in l' cf individii/fees, shall be due at the end of
each quarter for each new and renewed Club member and payment shall be accompanied by a
list of names and contact information of Club members for whom dues membership fees are
being paid
Article IV. Officers (re-number this as Article VI)
Section 1. The officers of the Caucus shall be a President, a Vice President, a Secretary, and a
Treasurer. These officers shall perform the duties prescribed by these bylaws and by the
parliamentary authority adopted by the Caucus.
Section 2. Nominations for election to an officer position shall be made at the regular meeting of
the membership held at the biannual convention of the Texas Democratic Party. The election
shall be held at the same meeting. Any Member of the Caucus,;
:.'e wf- -l.rs!-Clat, is eligible for election to office by majority vote of those Members
assembled at the meeting. The nominations for Vice President must be those Members who are
the opposite gender of the person elected President.
Section 3. The officers shall be elected to serve for a two-year term or until their successors are
elected, and their term of office shall begin at the close of the meeting at which they are elected.

Executive Board and of the membership; er , shall-be

Board and the membership of pertinent matters affecting the welfare of the Democratic Party
and the Caucus; shall be a voting Member of all ,
deemed-neeessary, and shall be the official spokesperson for the Caucus.
Section 5. The Vice President shall or, @W the gid zfor wod preside at all meetings of the
Executive Board and of the membership in the absence or inability of designated-by the
President; and shall perform all such other duties as may be assigned by the President.
Section 6. The Secretary shall keep and publish the minutes of all meetings of the Caucus
membership and the Executive Board; assure the issuance of all proper notices of meetings of
the Caucus membership and the Executive Board; maintain an updated record of all standing
rules, resolutions and policies adopted by the Executive Board or the Caucus membership;
maintain a current roster of the names and contact information of all
members; and shall perform-all such other duties as may be assigned by the President.
Section 7. The Treasurer shall collect and, under diretion of the Preside** shall disburse the
funds of the Caucus. All funds shall be kept in a financial institution(s) approved by the
Executive Board. The Treasurer shall keep books of account in which there shall be recorded all
receipts and disbursements of the Caucus. The Treasurer shall have the authority to disburse
funds as directed by the Executive Board The Treasurer shall submit all statutory records to the
Texas Ethics Commission in connection with the operation of a registered political action
committee. The Treasurer shall perform all other duties as may be assigned by the President.
The Executive Board, at its discretion, may appoint an Assistant Treasurer.2
