Jr., and Chris Lerrna.
(Editor's Note: In last week's
story on the candidates we left out
the complete name of a candidate
for county attorney. Jose Ramon
Falcon will be seeking the posi-
tion along with incumbent Abe-.
lardo Garza and Jaime Carrillo.)
Saenz also said some changes
did occur in those seeking party
offices. Most of these changes
occured because of a change in
voting precinct lines in the Con-
cepcion area.
As a result of the change,
Roque Salas and Emma Ellis are
no longer in voting precinct three
in which they had filed for pre-
cinct chairman. The two with-
drew from the prednet three post
and filed for chairman of precinct
seven, where they now reside.
Estela Garcia Ibanez withdrew
her candidacy for the precinct
seven position. Rubin Garza,
meanwhile, filed for precinct
chairman in precinct three. He
will be unopposed.
Congressional 28 seat created by
the legislature. Another San An-
tonio legislator, Frank Madia, is
also unopposed for State Senato-
rial District 24.
This senatorial district was de-
creed by a three judge federal
court panel over objection from
the Democratically controlled
Texas Senate.
Two Duval County residents
will be seeking the District 44
seat in the Texas.House of Repre-
sentatives. Richard Raymond of
Benavides a former aide to Rail-
road Commissioner Bob Krueger
and former Justice of the Peace
Alberto Martinez of La Rosita
are both on the ballot for this race.
The incumbent in the race will
be Tom Cate of Lytic. The new
district encompasses Duval, Jim
Wells, McMullen, Live Oak,
Atascosa, and Wilson counties.
District Attorney Heriberto
Silva will be unopposed, at last
report.
