The death of Dr. G. W- Gray
whose home was at Lusk, Tex-
as, was reported during the past
week. Dr. Gray was the father
of Judge C, J. Gray of San An-
tonio and Dr. J. D. Gray of Shi-

John Windlinger of Sap An-
tonio, Grand Secretary of the
Herman Sons was in Shiner last
Saturday on official business.
Mr. Windlinger went from here
to Moulton on Sunday to organ-
ize a sister lodge of the Herman
Sons* He was • accompanied by
Messrs. ; and Mesdames Max
Wolters, A. Hummel, J. H.
Huebner and Aug. Schramm.

and was named Lorbeeren Lodge
No. 68, with 17 charter mem-

in innocent play, picked tee

loaded, and when she pulled tee
trigger the gun, which was load-
ed with a 22 blank cartridge,
went off striking her little broth-
er in the eye, causing/ a very
painful / wound. Medical aid
was at once summoned and ad-
ministered temporarily to the lit-
tle fellow until they could get
Dr. Burns, un oculist of Cuero,
to prescribe. It was not learned
whether or not the sight was de-
