Danette Renee Green and
John Herbert Kew were
married recently in a morning
ceremony at the Gulpha Gorge
Ampitheatre. Parents of the
couple are Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert
E. Thomas and Mr. and Mrs.
John H. Kew, all of Hot Springs.
John Goslee officiated at the
ceremony and recorded music
was played on a stereo by
Ronald Kew, brother of the
bridegroom.
Vows were exchanged
beneath an archway decorated
with greenery and flanked by
arrangements of orange,I
lavender and white flowers in.
two colonial columns.
Given in marriage by her1
brother, Steven Carpenter, the
bride was dressed in a can-
dlelight double-knit gown which
featured a Chantilly lace panel
in front, a see-through yoke and
long, fitted lace sleeves.
An illusion veil was caught to
a crown of flowers and the bride
carried a bouquet of orange,
lavender carnations tied with
candlelight satin streamers.
The bride's aunt, Mrs.
Melinda Breedlove, was matron
of honor. Denise Carter, sister
of the bride, was the other at-
tendant.
Rick Lively served as best
man and Steven (Pete) Car-
penter was groomsman.
Ushers were Andy and Barry
Kew, brothers of the
bridegroom.'
Following the ceremony, the
couple received their guests at a
reception at the Park where
Mrs. Loretta West and Ellen
Kew, sisters of the bridegroom,
assisted in serving. Mrs. Donna
Fincher presided at the guest
registry.
The Kews are employed by
Union Carbide and are now at
home in the Red Oak Com-
munity.
McGREW-TAYLOR
Grand Avenue Baptist Church
was the setting for the fall
wedding of Cynthia Taylor and
Randy Doyle McGrew.
The Rev. Glenn Riggs of-
ficiated at the 7:30 p.m. nuptials
for which Jill Howard and
Clarence Hill, soloists, and
Ricky Trull, organist, provided
the music.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Billy R. Taylor ofHot Springs and the
bridegroom's parents are Mr.
and Mrs. Doyle R. McGrew,
also of this city.
Promises were pledged in a
setting which was enhanced by
yellow roses, daisies, yellow
and white carnations.
For her marriage the bride
selected a formal-length, silk
organza gown with fitted bodice
overlaid in lace, full, long
sleeves, a scoop neckline, A-line
skirt and chapel-length train.
A Juliet cap secured the
bride's illusion veil.
Brenda Snow was the maid of
honor. Bridesmaids were Jill
Howard, Debbie Daniels,
Marilyn McGrew, sister of the
bridegroom, and Debbie Scott.
Jimmy Shults served as best
man. Groomsmen were Frank
Bradley, Jimmy Hatmaker,
Eric Taylor, brother of the
bride,rand Richard McGrew,
brother of the bridegroom.
Immediately after the
ceremony, the couple was
honored at a reception at the
church. Belinda Hatmaker,
Annette Gate, Kim Sparks,
Mary Kincannon and Hazel
Smith assisted in serving.
After a trip to Silver Dollar
City, Mo., Mr. and Mrs.
McGrew are at home in Hot
Springs. He is a student at the
Quapaw Vo-Tech School and she
is a student at Henderson State
University.
On Sept. 5, the bride-elect was
given a personal shower by Jill
Howard and Debbie Hunt. The
bride-to-be was given wedding
showers by Kim Leckner and
Brenda Snow, Sharron Rose and
Tina McGrew, by members of
the Grand Avenue Baptist
Church, and by Pudge Powell
and Hazel Smith.

CUSHING, Okla. -- On
Saturday, Oct. 2, in a 4 p.m.
ceremony at the First
Presbyterian Church, Christine
Louise Hughes became the
bride of Jerry Edward Gunter.

leaves. Her only jewelry was a
gold lavaliere worn by her
great-grandmother at her
marriage in 1886.

to a Watteau chapel train
bordered in French lace. Her
bridal veil of illusion was topped
with French lace clusters and
she carried a bouquet of white
and blue carnations.
Attending the bride were Mrs.
Linda Blanque, matron of
honor, and Janet Hetzer,
Deborah Coyne and Marsha
King, bridesmaids.
Brian Palsgrove, brother of
the groom, was best man.
Groomsmen were Jared
Phillips of Little Rock, James
Stevens and Jerry Hearn.

were Wayne Taylor of
Caruthersville, Mo., and
Gordon Allen of Tuscaloosa,
Ala.
Serving at a reception in the
fellowship hall of the churchfollowing the nuptials were
