Labor Council of Palestine, Texas,
That we desire to enter our solemn
protest against the agitation which is
now being carried on with a view to
organizing a military company in
our town.
We advise all members of labor

unions who are desirous of being
/loyal to the international principles
of peace and fraternity advocated by
our representative organizations to
take no part in this warlike demon-
stration.
It is needless to recite the many
atrocities that have been perpetrated
against labor unions in recent years
by members of the militid in various
parts of the country-

their all In the interest of freedom
and Justice than are'that vast multi-
tude of loyal labor unionists whose
«
industry’ and peaceful habits have
made possible all the great institu-
tions of which we boast.
But , we protest most emphatically
against encouraging the young man-
hood of our country to indulge in
that Wtependous folly which now
