Perkins started her musi-
cal career with The Music
Man when she was in fifth
grade. She said she saw her
first Broadway production in
New York City and decided
that being in musicals was
what she wanted to do. She
has been in 10-15 musical
productions since then.
Perkins said she has per-

dancer but did not like the
musical until she saw it on
Broadway last summer.

Many movies feature the
wedding as the focal point
such as My Big Fat Greek
Wedding which grossed more
in ticket sales than any roman-
tic comedy or wedding movie
in history Other films may
focus on the comedic antics
after the movie (Just Married)
or may just end with a disrupt-
ed marriage 'The Graduate or
Vie Wedding Planner).
Marriage films always have
a constant audience but usu-
ally do not fare as well at the
box office as blockbusters like
Titanic which is ranked No. 1
all time or Star Wars No. 2. My
Big Fat Greek Wedding is 28th
on the all-time gross list earn
