Volley Ball
Girls Interested in volley ball are
showing plenty of pep and It is al-
most a certainty that they will be
ready for the match games that fol-
low the Y. W. A. House Party. The
teams were organized with Winnie
Mae Moore as captain of the Dormi-
tory team and LaJoyce Macon as
captain of the Town team.
.There are about twenty-five girls
enrolled in the Volley Ball teams and
there are two courts available for
practice every Tuesday and Friday at
2:30. If the present rate of practice
continues there will be teams in vol-
ley ball that are equal to the one that
played in the basket ball tournament.
Boys Make Hiking Club
Every boy in the Freshman class
started work on their letter in the
hiking club early this week. There
was at least ninety per cent of the
class out last Monday morning and if
they continue their activities the let-
ter will have been gained in another
day or two.
The regulation amount of miles is
one hundred and Marion Smith walk-
ed 28 between church time and 7:30
Monday morning. If the girls would
only take him as an example there
would be plenty of letter men in the
club this year.
All phases of physical education
have progressed nicely sin6e the be-
ginning of the new term and it is as-
sumed that the term will be very successful.

Say Folks how do you like this one of the HOL-
LEY TWIN8.

RIGHT OWNERS.)
And Thanks Awfully.
Campus Comments
It seems as if some of our class-
mates have lived in the city all their
lives. Miss Hester while riding in
the country the other day heard a
peculiar noise. She remarked "Lis-
ten to that horse." But as it turned
out this animal wore horns.
We hear that Dick Austin took a
ride or was it a slide the other morn-
ing. Anyway he was wearing out the
pavement in an odd fashion.
A Request to Reporters
If you are elected a reporter for
any organization or class then do
your duty in regards to the job that
you have been elected to. When any-
thing happens turn it in. If you do
not feel competent to write the article
yourself give the most important
facts and the editor will be very glad
to write the article up in the manner
that he feels it deserves.
The main thing for each reporter
to do is to remember that there is a
time when it is too late to get copy in.
If an article is to appear in the Jacket
it must be in by noon Wednesday. If
you know something tell the editor.
If you have something for Campus
Comments turn it in. If there is
something that you like to have dis-
cussed in the Moving Finger turn it
in. If you want to see the activities
of the school completely covered do
your part of the work and there will
be no heavy burdens on anyone. The
least you can do is co-operate with
the officers you elected.
Well well well here's our friend
Peaden again. We hear that he has
been going to Sidney very often late-
ly. Who's the fatal attraction Mt.
Peaden?
While on the subject: We hear
that Dutch and Terry got a good
work out for track the other Bight
when frightened by a carload of Up-
pers of the fair sex. Look out ladles!
You've heard of RED and GREEN
Well the sienes have lhanged a bit
Anyway it's RED and GIBSON now.
BLANKET GLEE CLUB HERE
Cupid makes another hit. We see
from the fact that our friends Law-
rence and Jagcrs are always together
lately. Oh well such is life . . . one
after another.
That was a swell fight while it
lasted the other night. The only trou-
ble is that it can't happen more
often especially if it could be follow-
ed by a picnic each time.
According to reports received late
last night the Blanket Glee Club from
Blanket High School will present a
chapel program this morning. The
club is sponsored by a graduate of
Howard Payne Miss Maurine Bird.

H ILLUSION: IH
A large packing case is exhibited on a raised plat-
form. A young woman climbs into the box. Head
hands and feet protrude and are held by specta-
tors while the magician takes a crosscut saw and
with the help of an assistant saws through the
center of the box and apparently through the wo-
man. EXPLANATION:
There are many explanations for this illusion. One
method of performing this illusion requires the
presence of tvio girls in the box. One girl curls up
in the left half of the box with her head and hands
protruding giving the effect you see illustrated
above. The other girl is doubled up in the right
half of the box with only her feet showing. Nobody
it sawed in half.
It's fun to be fooled

Cigarette advertising too has its tricks.
Consider the illusion that "Flavor" can be
achieved by some kind of magical hocus
pocus in manufacturing.
EXPLANATION: Just three factors control
the flavor of a cigarette. The addition of arti-
ficial flavoring. The blending of various to-
baccos. And the quality of the tobaccos them
selves. Quality is by far the most important.
Domestic cigarette tobaccos vary in price
from 5f a pound up to 40 a pound. Imported
tobaccos vary from 50 a pound to $1.15.
No wonder then that cigarettes differ in
taste since distinctive pleasing flavor de-
pends so largely upon the blending of the cost'
Her tobaccos.
JSMF It is a fact well known by leaf
tobacco experts that Camels
are made from finer MORE EXPENSIVE
tobaccos than any other popular brand.
Try Camels. Give your taste a chance to sense
the subtle difference that lies in costlier to
baccos ... a difference that means all the
world in smoking pleasure ... in pure un-
alloyed satisfaction.
