when Eugene Tenncy Wildcat center

Howard Payne wasn't licked yet
though and took the lead a couple
of times after that only to have it
grubbed from them by the hard-
playing Abilene hardwoodcrs.
The smart fast dribbling of Bill
Hay talented Wildcat guard kept
the ball from the desperate Jackets
lor precious seconds and even though
Hargrove managed to sink a long one
it only closed the gup in the scores
to 42-37.
"Slim" Odcll tall lanky Howard

game with his scoring of twelve
points and his fine defensive play
and ability to take rebounds off both
backboards.

Texas Weslcyan's Bams continued
their string of consecutive confer-

Baker Hill Billies Tuesday night
February 10 by a score of 53 to 29
in Fort Worth.
At the half the Bams had the
Billies only 25 to 19 but during the
last period the successful Fort Worth
cagcrs had things as they pleased.
Lack of reserve material on the part
of DBC was given as the reason for
their one-sided loss.
Weyman Cotton TWC center was
high scorer with 20 points. E. F.
Parkham his team mate scored 12
points. Tonnle Smlthers and Flaxy
Lcwallen were high for the visiting
Billies with 10 and 11 points respectively
