"Junior Hiqh Night"
At Quack Shack Tonight
Tonight is '’junior high school
night” at the Quack Shack, and
officers for that group are tb be
elected, the executive committee
of the Quack Shack has announc-
<il*
Thursday night will be "sen-
ior high school night,” and Sat-
urday night both groups will be
admitted.

ram materia! is in the 13,000,000
acres of East Texas pine and
hardwood forest.
"God Is My Co-Pilot” will show
at the Bay theater Wednesday.
Thursday, Friday and Saturday
. . This production rates among
the top films of the war-blood-
thunder variety and will add con-
siderable sparkle, to an otherwise
drak looking week.
This "three star” imy rating)
number has been getting general
applause from tile critics since its
release some time back. The show
is based on the hoirk written by
Flying Tiger Col Robert Lei Scott
. . . Tile novel carried' the same
name as the show.
It is better always'to see the
show first, then read the book,
otherwise the show just blasts tin-
good taste left by a good book . . .
Since it is impossible to follow a
novel exactly with celluloid the re-
quired revisions often disto.rt the
Ynovie-version since- some -script
writer was forced to “interpret"
some of the paragraphs into
scenes, ,and he may not have in-
terpreted as you did .
Anyway, this movie ought to be
worth your dough if you like these
air war jobs . . . It probably doesn’t
rank with "Air Force" but it
"Winged Vk-tory.1' ""Winged" Vic-

Here is the story in "God Is'My

As a boy. growing up in Macon,
Ga, Robert Iwe Scott, Jr., * Bobby
Burroughs) nourishes the hope of
some, day becoming an airplane
pilot. He takes to the air via um-
brellas jumps and home-made glid-
ers, and eventually wins his army
wings at Randolph Field. Texas.
Scott 'portrayed by Dennis Mor-
gan). flies his vj;ay through diffi-
cult, assignments, leaving his tail-
skid imprint on varied and num-
erous flying fields. The outbreak
of-war finds him stranded in Cali1
f’ornia as. on instructor ton old
lor combat flying at thirty-four.
Finally he succeeds in getting
’himself transferred to active dutv
and bids adieh to his wife (Andea
King) and child and turns to his
Job .in the skies.-
Flying a cargo plane over “the
huftip" gives Scott the opportunity
to talk with General Claire^Chen-
nauit (Raymond Massey) and re-
sults in .his assignment to fly with
the Flying' Tigers of the A.V.G.
under the command ol Col. Meriam
Cooper (Stanley Ridges),
,Tlie legend of Flying Tiger in-
vincibility is Increased with the
daring exploits of Scott who be-
comes known as the “one man air
form:." His fame spreads through-
-1 out the C.B.I. theatre, of war and
he is warmly toasted, by his Fly-
ing Tigei' buddies (Dane Clark,-
