—The Ideal Cafe, L. Catoh-
ings, proprietor, is now in its
new quarters, and is striotly up-
to-date. - It is an ideol place to
eat for both ladies and gentle-
men. The ladies dining parlor is
up stairs and is nicely furnished.
—A cold norther sprang up
Wednesday evening, and was
oold and cloudy ail day yester-
day, and this morning there was
a light fall of snow.

—H. E, Bradford will occupy
the Veale residence as soon as
vacated by O. L. York. He and
family are boarding at the Aber-
nathy hotel at present.
—The West Texas Wolf and
Fox Hunters Association will
make their annual hunt com-
mencing November 20, 1904, in-
stead of November 1, as stated
in last week’s Star.
—D. M. Howard of Mineral wells
will deliver to the people of Palo Pinto,
all purchases of $1.00 in dry goods and

the Dark Valley bridge, made
the Star office a call this morn-
ing and infprmed us that he is
now running cable, and those
who wished to see the operation
should come out.

advertisement of the Yeager

of Mineral Wells. Ben A. Yea-
ger is the genial manager and
will give you prices that will suit.
He carries a very large stock in
his lino and asks that you call

forced to reset and republish a
number of the notices. Some of
the erroneous notices will appear
in the paper, , but elsewhere in
the Star will be found the no-
tices correct. The corrected
suits are Nos. 2283, 2275, 2312,
2313, 2347, 2274, 2273, 2279,
3287, 2282, 2230, 2310 1*2, 2311,
2244, 2245, 2240, 2325, 2320, 2327,
2117, 2329, 2323, 2328. Part of
the edition of the Star had been
already run off, but not too late
to reset and republish them oor-

verely hurt while handling the
big gin screw this week.
—F, M. Watspn shipped two
oars and J. L. .Cunningham one
car of cattle to Fort Worth this
week. W. 8. • Conatser went

—Cam Williams, who recently
bought the old Hindman place in
the southwest part of town, is
making some improvements in

The election held in this coun-
ty last Tuesday was one of the
most quiet ever held in the
county. The vote was exceed-
ingly light, in fact but little over
half of the vote of the county
was polled. Indications are that
the amendments have all carried.
[There was no opposition to the
county ticket, which was, of
course, elected down tq consta-
ble- The republican ticket for
governor only reoeivod 14 votes
at this box, which is. the same
polled for presider. :ial electors.
Four votes were polled for Wat-
son, the populist candidate.
